Attaching a Tracking ID

If you want to attache a unique ID to an interview you can easily do so via the rtid (Reveal Tracking ID). This is typically used when embedding an interview in an external survey platform ( Integrating Reveal AI Into Other Survey Platforms ) to match responses with your external system IDs. These tracking IDs will appear in your Reveal dashboard and data exports.

Attaching a tracking ID is accomplished by adding an rtid query parameter to the interview URL and our system will attach that id to the interview

ex. https://interview.getreveal.ai/i/revealai-demo?rtid=ABC123 would append the tracking ID ABC123 to the interview when that link opens.

An important note: tracking ID’s are unique, so loading up a link with a tracking ID always loads the same instance of the interview.

Testing your tracking ID:

  1. Complete an interview in preview mode with your rtid parameter

  2. Go to the Collect Dashboard and turn on "Show Preview Interviews"

  3. Scroll to the "Transcripts" section to find your test interview

  4. Verify the Tracking ID appears correctly in the table
